Abstract: AI has fundamentally changed DFIR: we can now parse terabytes in minutes and automate weeks of grunt work, but our brilliant new tools are also inconsistent, unpredictable, and occasionally hallucinate evidence. This talk explores through live demo the beautiful paradox of modern digital forensics—where we solve cases faster but trust our tools less.

About the Author: Marcus Guevara is the founder of Cyber Donkey and a SANS Institute instructor specializing in advanced incident response, threat hunting, and digital forensics. With over 15 years in cybersecurity leadership, he brings both technical expertise and a sense of humor to the often-serious world of DFIR.
